  • Github Actions and PSDocs

Today I did some work on the MultiCloudDeployment project. I had wanted to add the option to pass in Resource Groups to the ARM template, because that is something that can deployed against if you are deploying multiple templates at the same time. Additionally I was a little jealous of the terraform-docs utility, it generates some decent documentation from the Terraform. As I started my search I found the PSDocs project as well as the PSDocs.Azure project that were exactly what I was looking for. These two modules work together to generate Markdown documentation files from discovered template files.

  • Microsoft Interviews

So, I applied for a Senior Software Engineering Role with Microsoft, specifically with the Deployment Team that handles the Azure Resource Manager Deployment engine. I guess I made it through the screening interview and this week had the technical interviews and let me tell you…WHOO…was rough! VERY ROUGH! lol

  • OSD and UEFI and a missing WinRE

So purely by chance I came across a tweet talking about a new release of OSDCloud. I had no idea what it was so I clicked the links. As far as I can tell OSDCloud allows you to deploy Windows over the internet onto your local computer. So I followed the directions, downloaded all the bits and it failed. I had other things to keep me occupied until today!

  • Customizing Jekyll and Minima

I thought I would sneak one in as I did a little tweaking on the site today. I use a nice font on my computer, hack. I set this as the default for vsCode and Visual Studio, and I’ve been using it for several years now. Last week I thought I would try my hand at customizing the minima theme, nothing major, but I thought it would be nice to have the code snippets rendered in my favorite font. I found an article that discussed one method of making changes, and as I dug into the article, I realized there was a slightly more straightforward method.

  • Week In Review: 03/04/2022

Literally next to nothing happened this week, getting ready to sell the house so new carpet was installed. I had the opportunity to catch the flu and spent the better part of today setting my office back up. We should be back in business next week!
